"You Are A Sartorial Masterpiece"

So, this has less to do with clothing and more to do with graphics, and probably rather less to do with graphics than it has to do with the fact that I barely slept at all last night.  I do apologize if my sleeplessness is foisting upon an unsuspecting blogosphere a rough collection of Plenilune graphics.  Otherwise, I hope you enjoy them.  As usual, I have very little artistic talent myself: none of these various and originally lovely photos belong to me.  I merely borrow.  Politely.  Also, I cannot look at the last one without bursting into laughter.  Enjoy!  Enjoy the rarely-indulged graphic monster within me.

16 ripostes:

  1. These are *just* the sort of thing I love to do - they're beautiful, Jenny! And the David Tennant one made me giggle. They're so amazing I wish I'd thought of them myself, but alas I didn't, so I'll just take inspiration from them. And perhaps send Ian and Thomas (who is still un-ashed and un-urned) to snatch them.

  2. Oh noes! Something fairly eloquent about thievery which I may or may not have stolen from Shakespeare! Alas, lisping the thoughts of others is all I can manage right now. I feel as though I could sit down and keep writing, but the sheer volume of energy it takes just to start is perhaps more than I can scrounge at present. And I have a boar hunt ahead of me! That ought to be incentive.

One does wonder what one would be willing to give to see David Tennant, Richard Armitage, and Anne Hathaway play across from each other. I'm still dubiously trying to wrap my mind around that. Anyway! I can't decide which of these is my favourite. The wolfhead with the constraining arms is a little grotesque, but I swear it was made for Plenilune. The fox is sweet and sleepy; the crown stands out and really turned out the way I wanted it to. And, of course, the cheerful, askance tones of the last graphic never fail to bring a smile to my face.

    I love my characters. ^.^

  3. Oooh! Fun idea, Jenny! Did you use Picnik? :)

  4. *laughs* Fear not, I shall not actually steal your graphics. 'Twould be most rude. I would no sooner steal a DaVinci from the Louvre! I would pay BIG money to see all these actors in one movie; I truly would. I love the fox, the actors, and the arms holding the wolf in - a bit macabre, true, but I still love it.

  5. Oh, pish. Don't suppose I'm worried that you would "steal" these. If you did, I should be only immensely flattered; otherwise they aren't of much use to you. I kind of scribbled all over them... Really I'm just disapproving as a general rule of young men scuffing about with funereal urns intent on pinching other people's literary graphics.

Well! I'm all afluff like a bird in its feathers with peachiness because you like my slap-dash endeavours. I don't use "Picnik," (which is a horrible misuse of the English language, but I suppose they have a reason for it); I use Pinterest (which only mildly squeaks by linguistically and logically) and then Deviantart (which is a clever name) and then, as a last and desperate resort, Google Images. But Pinterest is usually very helpful when it feels like loading at anything faster than a glacial pace and one can waste an alarming amount of time trawling through it.

  6. I would LOVE to have a Pinterest, but I know I would spend all day on it and I idle away enough time on the internet as it is! I DO, however, have a DeviantArt account and it has been ridiculously inspiring. And my young men scuffing about with funereal urns have promised not to attemp theft of your literary graphics. There would be no place to put them!

  7. Aha, I've missed your graphics! These are exquisite, Jenny. I've been trying to decide which one I like best and I absolutely can't. "You know you can't hold me forever" makes me feel all warm-and-fuzzy-sad inside, though, which is a good sign. (And Tennant/Shakespeare is an everlasting thing of beauty.)

You ought to make this a regular thing. :)

  8. I'm sure everyone, judging from the response, would like it a great deal if I made this a regular thing, but 1) I wouldn't get much else done and 2) it would probably give far too much of the plot away.

I don't actually have a Pinterest account. I think you have to have a Facebook account first, which I don't. Abigail does, though... But I do have a massive folder on Jefferies wherein I keep all my Plenilune inspirational pictures.

I see their mother taught Thomas and Ian tolerably well concerning pinching.

  9. Yes. Pinching is frowned upon in the Arashikage clan, and ninjas only resort to it when absolutely necessary. (The same goes for biting, tickling, eye goudging, and hair-pulling).
I have more pictures in my folders than I care to think about.

  10. I would like to make graphics of this sort for Adamantine; unfortunately there is a shortage of pictures for blue-haired young men and anthropomorphic cats. Also, the only white-haired girl of a match for Adamant is Daenerys Targaryen, and I'd really rather not have people mistaking me for endorsing "Game of Thrones." >.> So, it would seem I'm stuck pouring my slap-dashery graphic powers on Plenilune alone.

  11. Actually, my mother gives me a hard time (jokingly, of course) because I happen to like a certain blue-haired young man named T.O.P., from a KPop group Big Bang. (His hair is not naturally blue, but he IS Asian and therefore probably doesn't work for your Adamantine c haracter). I have a character in a novel based off Daenerys Targaryen, though I would definitely not endorse GoT either. I know enough about it to be more than a little repelled. Ah me.
Also; you inspired me to do graphics for some of my own novels, which hopefully you'll see tomorrow or the next day! ^_^

  12. Hurrah! I look forward to that most eagerly. And yes, Rhodri (he of the blue hair) is most definitely of a Caucasian quality.

  13. The post is up, and you are credited with the inspiration =) =)

  14. And, just because you still inspired it, part two is also up. ^_^

  15. They are all splendid, but I think the last is my favourite. ^.^

  16. I think it must be mine too. ^.^
